The staff of Grand Rapids First was divided into three teams and given the team-building challenge to create their own “Hallmark-style” movies.
They were given six weeks to create a video no longer than six-and-a-half minutes using only an iPhone, $50, and their own creativity. Additionally, each group was given a random location, item, song, and phrase that had to be used in the movie.
Team 1 – Merry Kissmas
Team 1 Movie had to include the following wild cards:
I want a hippopotamus for Christmas, A city bus, A puppy, “You talking to me?”
Team 2 – The Cookiejar County Christmas Chicken Miracle on 44th Street
Team 2 Movie had to include the following wild cards:
Grandma got run over by a reindeer, A junkyard, A classic car, “I’ll get you my pretty and your little dog too!”
Team 3 – A Baker’s Dozen Christmas
Team 3 Movie had to include the following wild cards:
All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth, A laundromat, A dinosaur, “Open the pod bay doors, Hal”
